Everything on Josi's LAB is free to read, use, adapt and share. The only thing asked in return is credit, and that improvements to the scripts stay open for the next DBA.

How to give credit

A short line is enough. For example:

When you change something, say so, for example "adapted from Josi's LAB".

Community work and credits

Many scripts were collected and refined over more than 12 years of Oracle DBA work, and some started from ideas shared by other DBAs. Each script says where it came from in its header:

Author: written by hexacatslab.
Adapted + Origin: based on the work of the named author, changed by hexacatslab.
Curated: collected from personal notes and the Oracle DBA community.

The licenses above cover only the original work by hexacatslab. Third-party parts keep their authors' rights.

Is something here yours? If you recognize your work and it is not credited, or you want it credited differently or removed, get in touch and it will be fixed quickly.

My Oracle Support notes, patches and documentation belong to Oracle. This site only references them by number or link and does not copy their content. Oracle, Java and MySQL are registered trademarks of Oracle and/or its affiliates. Josi's LAB is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Oracle.

No warranty

Everything here is shared as is, without warranty of any kind. Many scripts change the database (kill sessions, drop jobs, resize files). Read each script first, test it outside production, and use it at your own risk.
